Crownin’ Around
It’s a very special edition of Crownin’ Around today. We’ve covered the colourful people one encounters around Crown Street before, but some of our beloved Crown Street folk aren’t in fact human. Surely the most loved of all would be the adorable community dog Dasher. Usually found chilling on the pavement just across the street from our office, Dasher was the most docile and friendly of characters, human or animal.
Sadly, Dasher was hit by a car yesterday and the resulting sadness is palpable outside. In a heartwarming display, Crown St. regulars and passers by have been writing tributes in chalk and leaving notes and flowers all day.
RIP Dasher.
